Ingredients for Beef Stew with Broccoli:
- 2 lbs (0,9 Kg) boneless stew meat cut into 2-inch (5 cm) pieces
- 12 oz- 340 g broccoli florets
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 oz - 50g brown sugar
- 4 tbsp cornstarch
- ½ cup - 110ml soy sauce
- 1 cup beef stock
- salt and pepper to taste
How do make Beef Stew with Broccoli :
Whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, olive oil, and garlic a large sauce pan.
Place slices of beef in the liquid and toss to coat.
Cover with lid and cook on low heat for 5 hours.
When done, whisk together cornstarch and water in small bowl.
Pour into sauce pan and stir to mix well.
Add the broccoli florets and carrots over the beef and sauce.
Gently stir to combine.
Cover with lid and cook 40 minutes to cook broccoli-carrots and thicken sauce.
Serve with rice.
