Ingredients for Mashed Celeriac:
- 1 celeriac
- 900gr - 2 lb potatoes
- 0,12 l - ½ cup milk
- 60 gr - ¼ cup butter
- olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
Peel the celeriac and cut into small pieces.
Put some olive oil in a large pan and cook the celeriac in here.
Stir frequently and make sure they are well cooked.
Place the potatoes into a large pot, and cover with salted water.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes.
Drain, and return the potatoes to the pot. Turn heat to high, and allow the potatoes to dry for about 30 seconds. Turn off the heat.
Add the celeriac and mash them with a potato masher twice around the pot, then add the butter and milk. Continue to mash until smooth and fluffy.
Whisk in the salt, pepper and a little nutmeg until evenly distributed.
