Ingredients for Puff Puff:
for 10-12 waffles
- 9 oz - 270g of all-purpose flour
- 1½ cup of warm water
- 1 tbsp of dry yeast
- ½ cup of sugar
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1 tbsp vanilla powder
How to make Puff Puff:
Dissolve the yeast in the water.
Using a wooden spoon, stir, gradually drawing in the sifted flour, until you have a smooth paste.
Add the sugar, salt and vanilla powder .
Cover with a napkin and let it rise for at least 2 hours.
If the batter is too thick, you can add a splash of water.
Heat the oil to 375 degrees F. In a pot suitable for deep-frying, drop large spoonfuls, the size of a walnut, of batter into the hot oil.
Cook them for a few minutes until they are golden brown.
Served with a hot tomato sauce or enjoyed on it own.
