Rice Cake

Ingredients for Rice Cake:

    - 100 gr (3½ oz) desert rice (small thick grain)

    - 1 l (4¼ cups) milk

    - 70 gr ( 2½ oz) granulated sugar

    - 2 sachets vanilla sugar

    - Pack ready-made puff pastry

    - 3 eggs

How to make Rice Cake:

In a large saucepan, bring rice and milk to a boil and then put on a very low heat

so the rice cooks still just very gently.

Stir occasionally to prevent rice catching on saucepan base.

Add more milk if rice has thickened too much.

When the rice is tender, set aside to cool a little.

Mix the sugar, the vanilla sugar and the egg yolks through rice.

Roll out mille-feuille-dough and put into buttered form.

Prick with a fork holes in the bottom of the dough, otherwise it is too thick, the dough

Add rice pudding and bake in a prehea oven at 180 degrees Celsius - 356°F for 20 - 30 minutes.
