Ingredients for vanilla waffles:
for 10-12 waffles
- 1 lb - 450g self-rising flour
- 10 oz - 280g sugar
- 14 oz - 400 g butter (melted)
- 6 eggs
- 3 sachets vanilla sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
How to make vanilla waffles:
Melt the butter over low heat or in the microwave.
Put the flour in a large bowl and add the sugar, vanilla sugar and a little salt and mix everything.
Add the eggs one at a time to it until you get a smooth batter.
Add the melted butter.
Put the batter in the refrigerator and let it harden for an hour.
Grease the waffle iron the first time and bake the waffles when the iron is hot.
Put on each side a ball of dough and fry until golden.
Use a fork to remove the waffles from the iron and then let them cool on a rack.
You can keep the wafers in a cookie jar.
